Ragwort & Cinnabar Tea-Towel

This beautifully illustrated tea-towel, made in the UK with organic cotton and inspired by the wonderfully wild creatures that thrive here at Knepp.

Often villainized by farmers, common ragwort is an unsung hero of rewilding. As one of the most sustaining hosts to insects we have in Britain, seven species of beetle, twelve species of flies, seven micromoths and one macromoth, the Cinnabar, feed exclusively on common ragwort. It is a major source of nectar for at least thirty species of solitary bee, eighteen species of solitary wasp and fifty insect parasites. In all, 177 species of insect use common ragwort as a source of nectar or pollen.
